Help me stretch

We have always encouraged our players to establish a sturdy ‘buddy system’ of sorts when joining the team. Just like how you would have a spotter while you were lifting weights, we wanted our athletes to look out for one another. With their bodies constantly in motion, with practices, training and of course the games themselves, they are under a lot of pressure and it is important for them to be mindful of the state their bodies are in. We push them to play through pain, but we take injuries very seriously.


So when I got the call from one of our newer recruits, Lane Colten, who seemed concerned about one of our MVP’s Jack Savvy. He explained that he and Jack had been doing some training when suddenly Jack was writhing in pain on the field. With his leg seizing up, thankfully Lane was there to help out his fellow teammate. He remembered I made myself available to all of them, telling our players that I would do my best to respond as quickly as possible if it was baseball related.
